yesterday i was looking on a book ..called .."Vogue Living: Houses, Gardens, People "the book features photographs by celebrity photographers like Annie Leibowitz, Mario Testino, and Bruce Weber, and gives us a sneak peek into the coveted homes of celebrity style-makers like Madonna, Oscar de la Renta, and Karl Lagerfeld..... owned by my gf ...she has a couple of copies ...as i know some of you guys out there are halfway to the bookstore to pick up a long-awaited copy ...or went back home empty handed ...too bad...as i flipped on pages i spotted a big art piece by Jean Michael Basquait untitled "cow"...i know half of that size would cost good 8 million usd .....and i said to my slef ...maybe one day my art would cost that much ...or never ...lol ...but ...an Auction house, Phillips de Pury & Company will be holding a street art auction in their London location on September 6th, 2008.... Included in the collection will be a wide range of mediums such as Paintings, Photographs, Watches, Toys and Jewelry by popular urban/contemporary artists including the likes of KAWS, Invader, Judith Supine, Beejoir, and Bast amongst others...... Representing the growing popularity of street art......, this auction should be quite interesting,..... with selling prices estimated in the range of up to $26,000......sigh ...
