Recently he was commisioned to to document Nur's jurney home....(Nur was a maid who brutally abused by her employer)....
"This time, i was given a chance to document an Indonesian migrant worker, Nur and her journey to home from Kuala Lumpur, to Sukabumi, Jakarta after 7 years and 6 months. Nur arrived in KL almost 8 years ago after being promised a job that will change her life by an agent in her home village, which is located about 3 hours from Sukabumi,Indonesia. Her agent told her that she only have to work for 2 years as a maid, and will be able to go back home after that, with money in hand. But things turn so badly for her. She was forced to work for 5 years without salary, without any communication with her family. She was denied a basic human rights by her employer, and was mentally abused. After a series of unfortunate events, she was rescued and was taken care by Tenaganita, a local grass roots NGO in KL. They provide shelter, therapy, and training for her, while processing her document to go home (her travel documents were taken by her agent). Now, Nur has safely return home. But She needs lots of helps to build her live".more
