This is an interesting video I stumbled upon about Max Levchin. Max is someone most online users have, at one point or another, supported. He is the inventor of PayPal. And at the age of 32, he sold PayPal to eBay for 1.54 billion dollars. (That’s a “B”, not an “M”.) He has since started a new venture called Slide.com which some of you who use social network sites might know about already. The video is interesting because it shows how, for some people at least, “drive” is something that doesn’t go away when one has crossed that finish line. It’s also interesting to hear him say that if he can’t do something that tops the 1.5 billion dollar mark, then he has failed. At the same time, he says his greatest fear is being irrelevant. Which begs the question, does “money” and “relevance” mean the same thing? I always thought it was possible to have one without the other.

From the quirky Dreamcast favorite Jet Grind Radio to Marc Ecko’s Getting Up, the ability to write graffiti seems to keep popping up in video games. Things could be getting a lot more precise with the invention of WiiSpray, a virtual aerosol paint can prototype that was developed by German student Martin Lihs for his final thesis at Bauhaus University.

According to an article in the May 08 issue of De:Bug Magazine, the can plugs into your Wii controller and simulates real life spraying with different caps and colors. With an internet connection, it may even give you the ability to collaborate on a piece with someone across the globe. No word yet on the commercial production, but these types of custom controller add-ons seem like they might be the future.

OriginalFake Storm Trooper KAWS Companion Release Madness

The much anticipated Storm Trooper KAWS Companion from OriginalFake was released at the OriginalFake store in Tokyo. As expected, fans, collectors and resellers lined up on a Saturday morning to get their hands on one of these figures. Only 1000 pieces were produced, many of them popping up on Japanese auctions sites right after the release. Those that were unable to purchase one will most likely have to get it the hard way (eBay, Yahoo Auctions japan) in order to complete their Star Wars Companion collection (with the Darth Vader Companion).

bought two tees when i was there ....normal UNIOn tee ...they did a couple of crossover ....such as Kaws.... undft etc.....CLOT and Union have teamed up on a t-shirt in this latest re-appropriation of the famous Union logo..... Combining the elements of each brand’s respective themes, the relationship was born out of a mutual respect between Union/UNDFTD’s Eddie Cruz and CLOT’s Kevin Poon, Edison Chen and Tom Chung...... the Union logo also absorbs the CLOT ‘C’ as well..... two colorways will be produced in white and black with the white one being exclusive to the US and the black one exclusive to Hong Kong.....

after me posted ..kaws and espo ..now ...futura ....coming in with a counter attack ...shrouded in mystery, the venue has finally been announced...... for Futura’s upcoming “Strategic Synchronicity” ......which is arguably one of the most highly anticipated shows forthcoming.... the show will begin with a private viewing on Thursday, September 18th with a three-day public opening set for the 19th through 21st of September.
